Auto Knowledge Base ("we", "our", or "the Service") is operated by an independent developer acting as the data controller for the Service and is available at https://autoknowledgebase.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, store, and protect data when you use the Auto Knowledge Base Zendesk integration.

By installing or using Auto Knowledge Base, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Overview

Auto Knowledge Base helps teams keep their Zendesk Help Center content up to date by analyzing solved support tickets and generating Knowledge Base draft articles. The Service only processes data that is necessary to provide this functionality.

Data We Access

When you install Auto Knowledge Base, we may access the following data from your Zendesk account:

  • Solved support ticket content, including subject, description, and conversation messages
  • Existing Knowledge Base articles and related metadata
  • Draft articles generated by the Service

Auto Knowledge Base only accesses data that the Zendesk platform explicitly authorizes through its app permission system. We do not access data beyond what is required to analyze tickets and create or update Knowledge Base drafts.

How We Use Data

The data accessed by Auto Knowledge Base is used solely to:

  • Analyze solved tickets
  • Identify relevant Knowledge Base topics
  • Generate draft Knowledge Base articles or updates
  • Improve the accuracy and relevance of your Knowledge Base

Draft articles are created inside your Zendesk account. The Service does not automatically publish content. Your team remains in full control of review and publication.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Storage

To provide the Service, Auto Knowledge Base stores the following data:

  • Solved ticket content required for analysis
  • Generated draft articles
  • Relevant Knowledge Base content for comparison and updates

Data is stored only for as long as necessary to operate and provide the Service. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are taken to protect stored data.

Third-Party Subprocessors

Auto Knowledge Base uses trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service:

  • OpenAI for natural language processing of ticket content
  • Supabase for data storage and application infrastructure
  • Vercel for application hosting and deployment

These subprocessors process data solely on our behalf and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models.

Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the Service and fulfill its intended purpose. Data may be deleted upon request, subject to technical and legal requirements.

User Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure.
